The Parish Church
The well-known choir.
Turvey's Parish Church is called All Saints and has Saxon origins.  It is the largest church in the deanery of Sharnbrook and was in the Diocese of Lincoln until it was transferred to the Diocese of Ely in 1837.  Since 1914 it has been in the Diocese of St Albans.
I am proud to say that I was baptised in Turvey Church
in 1969.
When a casual visitor to the small village of Turvey first enters the pale stone church he could be forgiven for giving a gasp of surprise.  Although this is just a small village the church is a true gem.  There are many signs of its history and it has received very little damage over the years.  I hope I can give you some idea of its remarkable beauty on this part of the site.

Monuments in the church
Louisa Kate Savage was church caretaker for many years until her death at 90 in May 1935.  Edie Bucher took over the task after then.  Louisa's grandson, Len Savage, took over as Church Warden in the 1950's.
